Scott McFarland - President/Owner Basement Services 911

Scott McFarlandScott is a graduate of Dickinson College, class of 1981, with degrees in History and Geology. In 1985 Scott got his FAA Post-Grad Engineering at P.S.U. Scott was a member/captain of a National Championship Basketball Team, 1978-1981.

Scott has 30 years of experience in the general construction field. He is an active member of FAA and NAWSRC, as well as various Chambers of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau.

Ironically, Scott started Basement Services 911 in the basement of his home in 2001. Today it is a four state respected organization with multiple offices. With his diversified areas of training, he has worlds of experience in all phases of basement issues. Having built over 100 buildings and complexes he has encountered any problem that you could have in your foundation.


Home Inspector John Harte

John Harte

When it comes to customer satisfaction there is no stronger advocate for a Basement Services 911 customer than John Harte. On site, John traces all elements that may be leading to a mold, mildew or water problem. Once the cause is defined John is solutions- driven.

After several successful years in home addition and remodeling sales, John returned to work with Scott McFarland in 2008. “There is no better mentor in construction than Scott,” John says. “I learned a great deal from him in the early 90’s when I ran commercial construction crews. He always encouraged me to take on new opportunities along the way.”

John broadened his education at Temple University and has certifications in Network Engineering, Data Communications and is certified in HVAC. John and his family reside in Plymouth Meeting.

Tony Ferrara

Tony was born and raised in New Jersey and lives there now with his wife and six children - four girls and two boys. After his sons were diagnosed with breathing issues, he was prompted to learn all he could about water and seepage issues, which is what eventually brought him to Basement Services 911.

Chris has over 16 years of experience in building trades and has worked in structural services since 1990.

Office Manager Jason Truman

Jason Truman

Jason is a relatively fresh face here at Basement Services 911. He started with us roughly a year ago managing our Service Department and has since transitioned into overseeing all of our office operations. Whether he's directing the flow of incoming new customers or addressing an existing client with a question or concern, Jason's customer service and attention to detail are second to none. His knowledge of the waterproofing industry continues to grow as he studies under the tutelage of Scott and our various inspectors.

Outside of the office, Jason is an avid nature enthusiast who enjoys various activities such as hiking, skiing and fishing. He's also a huge family man who devotes much of his time to his girlfriend and two ferrets.


Production Manager Cecilia Poole

Cecilia Poole

Cecilia is a resident of the Pottstown area for 28 years, having been born and raised in Maryland. She recently married her high school sweetheart and is the mom of two wonderful daughters. She is also soon going to be a grandmother. Cecilia has been with the company for almost three years. Her 20-year work experience has included dealerships in the tri-state area with a concentration in customer satisfaction.

"I was hired at Basement Services 911 to not only be Scott McFarland's assistant, but also to make completely sure each and every customer that we perform waterproofing or any other service for is 100% satisfied. Today, I proudly serve as the daily Production Manager so please be prepared to speak with me often during our quest to serve you."

Dee brings 30 years of administrative and customer service experience to Basement Services 911. She enjoys creating strong relationships with our customers to ensure their happiness from start to finish. "After meeting Scott and his employees, my decision to join Basement Services 911 became very clear. Never before have I worked with a team of individuals who are so dedicated to customer satisfaction and that makes my job easy. I am very proud to be a part of the team."



Show Coordinator Al Thompson

Al Thompson

Al brings a lifetime of sales and promoting experience the Basement Services 911. Al books and staffs our many trade shows, festivals and other events, putting a friendly face and credibility to the company as we meet future friends and customers for the first time. Al has a true passion for events and is involved as a sports writer and radio personality in the local media and is involved as an organizer for “Welcome America!”  - The official July 4th celebration for the City of Philadelphia.
