Why use Basement Services 911 Waterproofing System
According to the University of Minnesota Engineering Report on basement moisture problems, the most effective way to remediate basement moisture problems is by installing a new interior drainage system with a perforated drain pipe installed inside the perimieter of the footing. By placing drain pipe beneath the slab, it drains the area to a lower level. Similar to an exterior system, the drainage pipe connects to a sump pump.
A critical compenent of this approach is the dimpled plastic sheeting placed at the base of the wall and beneatht the slab edge. Dimpled sheeting is similar to egg crate and permits free drainage of the walll into the drain pipe.
Using this type of repair system is less expensive that many specialized drainage channel systems.
